It always amazes me that so few people use a metal tongue scrapers because the cheap device is a vital part of good oral hygiene. Everybody knows about the importance of brushing their teeth twice or three times a day but very few people seem to do everything necessary to maintain healthy teeth and gums and fresh breath.

Buy a Honeywell RTH8500D 7 Day Touchscreen Programmable Thermostat

Every year the pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in America becomes evident in politics both national and international. President Obama seems sincere in his commitment to deal with environmental issues. The most pressing of all the environmental problems is climate change. We are heating up the planet primarily because of our hunger for energy. At present alternative and green energy only produces a small percentage of the total energy output. This means that most of the electricity we use comes from burning oil and natural gas in power stations.

My Impromptu Wedding on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach, Koh Phangan, Thailand

My girlfriend and I took a gap year between college and graduate school to see something of the world. We really loved travelling together and we really loved South East Asia. Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand were fascinating countries with so many beautiful temples to visit and exciting things to experience.

Our favorite place of all was Southern Thailand. The beaches were to die for. Island life suited us down to the ground: staying in bungalow, waking up to the sound of the sea, eating fruit and amazing spicy food and watching the sunset with a cocktail. Nothing could be better. It was paradise for us.

And of all the beaches we visited we fell in love with Thong Nai Pan on Koh Phangan Island the most; so much so that we decided to get married on the beach. It was a spontaneous decision made one night spent lying on the beach and looking at the stars.

My Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring is Simply the Best

I recently bought and installed my own strand woven bamboo flooring. It cost me about $1,500 everything included to do a 12 foot by 12 foot room. I was initially thinking to buy an oak floor but the dealer was quoting me over $3,000. I just didn’t have that type of money. The helpful man in the shop suggested that I should consider strand woven bamboo flooring instead. I had a look at the samples and heard the man out.

Hemp Reusable Coffee Filters

Even the simplest consumer decisions can be complex. I initially thought that buying a reusable coffee filter was a good idea. It is environmentally friendly because you stop using paper coffee filters and it is money saving. So I bought one. And after using the reusable coffee filter a couple of times I gave up on it for the simple reason that the coffee didn’t taste very good. This puzzled me. So I went on google and found out why. The reason is that the plastic mesh on the coffee filter is not fine enough. In other words the holes are too big so the hot water and coffee powder mix went through the filter too quickly. It hadn’t had time to brew properly before it arrived in my cup.

With my environmentally friendly project aborted, I went back to using paper coffee filters. To salve my conscience I bought some coffee filter papers made of recycled paper. And surprise, surprise the quality of my coffee improved again.

This went on for a month or so before I discovered on the internet the hemp reusable cone coffee filter. This product restored my faith in the idea of  the reusable coffee filter. And it only cost $4.99. What a bargain!

Stay Warm This Winter for Less

Wikipedia states that the average household in the USA spends a massive 32% of its entire electricity bill for a year on space heaters. This seems crazy to me. Especially when we are constantly reminded that space heaters are more economical than central heating.
