One thing you all need to know about the Bunn NHBX-B is that it is a solid machine. I t will last much much longer than any rival coffee maker. That is a fact. It is really worth while taking a look at this particular feature first. There are pros and there are cons. But when we look at the fact you will save on having to replace your coffee maker once every couple of years, it’s not exactly something to be sniffed at.
I would like in the course of the next few paragraphs to give you the key features that make this machine worth considering, and a few issues with the machine that might make you reconsider.
First is the speed of machine and the power consumption involved with such speed. The Bunn NHBX-B can brew coffee at a most fast pace, consistently completing the brew cycle in less than 3 minutes. Most coffee makers take anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes. But this comes at a price, the cost per year on your electric bill could be as high as additional $100.
While this is not very economical at all, I mustn’t forget to tell you that this machine is made in the US so there is a much smaller carbon footprint being created. I can’t say for sure if this makes up for the excessive electric usage, but it is something worth noting at least.
The Bunn NHBX-B has a flat bottom filter, which while receiving negative reviews on line, is best represented with this machine and so the quality of the coffee here is pretty much equivalent of the coffee made by a coffee maker using a cone filter.
If buying a new coffee maker once every 2 years is not your cup of tea, and you are ok with paying a little more on your electric bill to get your coffee a little bit faster, then this could be the coffee maker for you.
