Difference Between Monitored and Non Monitored Burglar Alarms

There are many ways in which you can protect your home and at the same time your loved ones. One of the best ways to secure the area where you live is by installing a burglar alarm system. These systems are very good at warning home owners when an intruder is trying to enter your property without authorization. They come with a variety of sensors that monitor different areas around the home including entrances and windows. It is up to the home owner or a technician to decide where will the sensors will be placed. The idea is to secure areas that are easier for a burglar to break into so that the alarm system is triggered if an intruder enter your home through them.

There are two categories in which these systems can be organized. One is monitored and the other is non-monitored. Monitored alarm systems automatically signal an agency that has the responsibility of contacting authorities or a private security personnel to aid the home owner if a criminal enters the property. Alarms that are not monitored either contact the home owner or just makes noise just like a car alarm does. This helps get the attention of authorities but does not offer immediate action against the trespassing intruder. For this reason a monitored alarm system is better, but things always come at a price. Monitoring companies work by paid subscription. The home owner has to pay a monthly fee for the service. Either way the price for this service is small considering what is being secured; the home owner, loved ones and prized possessions.

If you are planning to install a burglar alarm system in you home you should apply for a monitoring service if you can afford the monthly payment. This way you can have a more secure home and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with it. More info at Security Burglar Alarm System
